5 in the morning

Well, it's five in the morning, and I am wide awake
with my little baby boy...
who is thoroughly entertained by a box in our living room.

In my former life, I would be a monster right now-
no one messed with my sleep.
but now?

I'm way too impressed that he travelled 3 feet to move from his toys to
the box, that I am not even tired at all!
This.
boy.
is.
talented.

P.S. Today I am grateful for late night churchy talks with my husband :)

Teddy is 4.75 months!

It has been way way way way way too long, and I'm not going to lie, I have missed this little blog of mine! What have I been doing instead of blogging all day everyday, you ask? Well, I have been soaking up every minute of my life! Teddy is growing up so fast, I don't want to miss a second of these months, so my priorities have completely changed! (Crazy how that happens- I swore it wouldn't, but it did!)  But I finally have him down for a nap, and Jason is at school, so get ready for a pic/update overload!

So, let's start at month 2.
At month his two month checkup, Teddy weighed 12 pounds, and was in 94th percentile in weight
He was a chunk, and had just learned how to smile, which made the sleepless nights a little bit more bearable. He was sleeping about 3 hours at a time at night, and if anybody knows how I am when I don't get any sleep, you would know just how grumpy I was for those few mornings. Poor Jason. He loved his swing, and hated tummy time. Liked to stare at toys, but didn't know what to do with them. He was so cuddly, we LOVED it.

He started finding his voice at month 3. Here's an adorable video of him talking to one of his toys:

He started to be okay with tummy time for about 2-3 minutes. He loved to be read to, and started to really like his bath time.

Things have been getting more fun now that he has hit 4 months! At his 4 month appointment, he weighed 17.5 pounds! He was in the 90th percentile in weight still, and looks the same size as his 6 month old friends at church... sometimes even bigger! He just learned how to roll over, and LOVES sitting in his bumbo and playing with mommy and daddy. He smiles and giggles all of the time now, and it's been a blast watching him wake up everyday with some new trick! He's not quite crawling, but he has figured out how to scooch places with his knees. (He hasn't gotten too far yet, though, he gets tired fast.) He is sooo wiggly  these days, and we can see the desire to move around coming into his eyes!

P.S. Today I am thankful for naps.
