You know when you know you have so much
you need to catch up on on your blog,
and it seems so overwhelming that you just keep putting
.... And then things keep piling up on other things, and
pretty soon you have so much to say you never could remember it all anyway?
That's where I am at right now.
I wanted to at least get started...
Big shout out to Ally for telling me on insta to blog again!
There's nothing more motivating than knowing that someone reads this here blog!
You rock ;)
OK... First things first:
At the end of June, Jase and I went to St. George to visit
with my cute grandma and grandpa
Jase and Grandpa Hedquist
Danny had a stethoscope and we tried to hear the baby move..
We think we heard him :)
My Grandma Hedquist and I
I love this picture of Grandpa
This one's for posterity!
I thought this was a really neat pic of grandma and gramps :)
Grandpa was awesome and let us drive his golf cart around the golf course!
It was a lot of fun!
We can't wait to see them again!
Here's my latest baby bump picture :)
heh heh :)
...And here's one from 28 weeks:
(I'm 31 now, I'll post a pic soon)
The week after we got back from St. George,
I got another Kidney Stone that put me in the hospital this time!
It was a Saturday night, and we had a good ole time (thanks to the pain meds and awesome nurses)
in labor and delivery!
Definitely not how I pictured our first stay there, but it was good to familiarize ourselves with how the whole hospital thing works
We were able to go to my parent's house right after that to celebrate my birthday!
(I turned 24- whew!)
I didn't get many pictures from the trip, but it was a blast!
This is a pic of Jason with my cutie niece Miyah-
She's growing up way too fast!
Alyssa got me these cute glasses, and the perfect shade of nail polish
Look how cute Mick is wearing one of pairs:
(She got them for me because I am obsessed with mustaches these days...)
Sarah got me this cute diaper bag:
Blake got me a really nice kitchen strainer and colander...
so nice that I hung them up on my kitchen wall for decoration when I'm not using them!
and My mom and Dad got me this beautiful rocking chair!
Oh man, it is so dang comfy!
When we got home, it was time for the 4th of July and some pretty rockin times at Jase's family reunion!
We girls painted nails before the big day
Here are mine:
So cute, right??
The next day, Jase Ran the Freedom Run
Followed by a fun day at the Hyrum Parade,
and an awesome fireworks show, courtesy of Jason's cousin, David
The next week was the Case Reunion up at Heber Valley Girls Camp,
and Jase and I saw a deer and ate yummy food
It was fun, because we got to ride down with J's parents!
It was great to have a little one-on-one time with them
A little earlier in the week, we went to chick-fil-a for cow appreciation day
It was awesome :)
We'll do anything for free food... even dress up like cows
I also wanted to post pictures of the cute baby stuff we have so far...
It's starting to feel more real, which is so weird!
My Grandma and Grandpa gave us this darling little retro crib,
which fits perfectly into our small apartment!
We have this changing table, which was a steal of a deal on KSL... so awesome because it has storage, and we're always looking for places to put things.
Aly gave me some of Micky's baby clothes, which was so nice of her!
And this right here, is a cute outfit that Aunt Annette and Uncle Dustin gave to us,
we're obsessed. It's so cute!
I also love this little thing Lyssers gave me, and have it just laying in the crib... just because it makes it seem like there will actually be a baby sleeping in there in less than 2 months!
I know we have a long ways to go, as far as getting baby stuff goes, but man, I'm glad we're getting on it now...
I always laughed when I saw really preggo women in the baby section scrambling to buy binkies and bottles and diapers... but I have a feeling I'll be one of them! haha.
Life is crazy right now because Jase and I are both doing school full time this summer, and it doesn't leave too much time for other things... like getting ready for a baby!
But here's what I say:
Bring. it. on.
Until next time!
P.S. Today, I am grateful for water.
